Dirty Macaroni
The viral Dirty Macaroni recipe with over 3 million views and counting the recipe you’ve been asking for! ❤️
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
½ lb ground sausage of your choice (I use breakfast sausage)
½ yellow onion, diced
½ red bell pepper, diced
½ green bell pepper, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced (or jarred minced garlic)
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp Just Us Cajun Seasoning
1 tsp Just Us Creole Seasoning
1 tsp Just Us Meat Seasoning
1 tsp Just Us Salt-Free Garlic & Herb Seasoning
1 tsp Just Us Garlic with Parsley
½ packet Lipton Beefy Onion Soup Mix (optional)
2 cups beef broth, plus more if needed
½ can tomato paste
1½ cups heavy whipping cream
1 box elbow macaroni, uncooked
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup pepper jack cheese, shredded
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
¼ block Velveeta cheese (optional)
Smoked paprika and parsley for topping (optional)
Directions
1. In a large, deep skillet or pot, brown the ground beef and sausage. Season the meat with Just Us Meat Seasoning and black pepper.
2. Add the diced onion, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper. Cook until slightly softened.
3. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant. Drain off any excess grease if needed.
4. Add the beef broth, tomato paste, heavy whipping cream, Just Us Cajun Seasoning, Just Us Creole Seasoning, Just Us Salt-Free Garlic & Herb Seasoning, Just Us Garlic with Parsley, ½ packet Beefy Onion Soup Mix, and Velveeta. Stir until well combined.
5. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
6. Add the uncooked elbow macaroni and stir. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook until the pasta is al dente, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. If the pasta absorbs the liquid before it is tender, add additional beef broth ¼ cup at a time as needed.
7. Once the pasta is al dente, stir in half of the shredded cheeses. Turn off the heat and allow the macaroni to sit for a few minutes to begin thickening.
8. Transfer the Dirty Macaroni to an oven-safe baking dish. Top with the remaining shredded cheese. Sprinkle with smoked paprika and parsley if desired.
9. Bake uncovered at 375°F for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Just Us Tip ❤️
Don’t worry if your Dirty Macaroni looks a little saucy before baking. The pasta will continue absorbing the sauce as it bakes and rests, leaving you with creamy, cheesy Dirty Macaroni.
